Owner of House of Haynes Fancy Dress Hire, Jackie Haynes, has been accepted onto MA Textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her area of study will be contemporary fancy dress in the UK and the underlying motivations of the good citizens to partake so enthusiastically in this activity.
Jackie will look at cultural psychology, dress and identity and will be asking questions and looking for opinions from those who may have an opinion on it.
Her findings will be expressed and exhibited through contemporary textile art.
This does not affect Double Take Costumes costume supply to trade and business to business commission work, but House of Haynes costume hire to the public will go online for the duration of the course, with a pop-up shop at Halloween.
